Alexander Steele have agreed to support the recruitment of a Strategic Project Engineer for one of our global food manufacturing partners. This is an exciting role where you will key in developing strategic projects for the UK based sites that will future proof, growth, performance, efficiency, capability of the manufacturing assets for the next 10-20 years.
In this role you will report directly to the UK Operations & Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for driving opportunities to maximise potential, to ensure the best way invest capital expenditure, so that all of the UK operations benefit and remain operationally at an optimum.
The Role:
This role will focus mainly on the front end proposal process, rather than the delivery & implementation of projects, therefore a passion for working strategically with a holistic & long term view is absolutely key.
There is requirement to be in the London Head Office 1 day a week, otherwise this role is hybrid and you will have full autonomy of your diary and can travel across the UK assets at your discretion.
The Candidate:
- Project Engineering experience within FMCG Manufacturing
- Broad knowledge of Operational & Engineering processes, ideally within food manufacturing
- Broad knowledge of process/technical with FMCG manufacturing
- Management of a multi-discipline/function teams
- Strategic critical thinking
- Knowledge of Lean techniques
- Formal engineering qualifications preferable
