Senior Quantitative Developer, Risk Technology

Senior Quantitative Developer with expertise in Python, sought to take ownership of a brand-new centralised Risk, P&L and Pricing platform for a multi-award-winning Systematic Hedge Fund.

The Role

• Senior Quantitative Developer with Team Lead responsibility for one QD who has recently moved internally.
• Leading the establishment of a new Quant Investment Services (QIS) team, a brand-new centralised, cohesive, and consistent structure, with ownership of all Risk, P&L, Performance, and Pricing functionality, all of which has to-date been organically managed and systemised on a per-Investment team basis. Backtesting is also likely to be added at a later date.
• The QIS team will work with the Investment teams to understand and migrate all MATLAB-based functionality into a single, centralised MATLAB system, then rearchitecting and rewriting into a modern Python platform.

The Person

• 5-10+ years’ relevant experience, with very strong technical skills in Python, and open to initially work with MATLAB.
• Relevant experience in a Buyside firm / Hedge Fund, working across multiple Traded Products and Strategies, would be ideal.
• Good understanding of Risk, P&L and/or Pricing preferred, especially in relation to Systematic Trading.
• Passion for building highly robust, fault-tolerant and reliable systems, with excellent attention to detail.
• Superb analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.

The Remuneration

• Base salary of ideally around £120-140K + excellent Annual Bonus + profit-share + MIS.
• 25 days annual leave, with options to buy/sell, and with allowance increasing with tenure.
