Lead Software Engineer at Prestigious Hedge Fund

Our client, a leading hedge fund, is seeking to hire a highly skilled Software Engineer / Developer who will be responsible for building and maintaining the pre-trade and post-trade systems that are essential to this renowned firms global quantitative trading operations. This is a challenging and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems in a high-performance environment.

In this role, you will be working on pre-trade systems that require high throughput and availability, processing large volumes of real-time market data. Your work will focus on building robust, reliable systems that handle intense data flows efficiently. On the post-trade side, you’ll engage with systems that, while involving less data volume, require sophisticated business logic to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.

You will also play a key role in stakeholder management, interacting with senior members of the business, many of whom may not have technical backgrounds. The ability to communicate effectively and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential. You’ll be working with distributed systems, pulling data from multiple sources to create scalable solutions, and will need to handle complex calculations and integrations.

This is a perfect role for someone who has 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in distributed systems, and is comfortable with stakeholder management. While finance experience is a bonus, it is not a strict requirement. They are open to candidates who are proficient in C# or Java and who thrive in an environment where innovation and problem-solving are key.
