He spends his time out of work as a professional racing driver, and is using his knowledge of this domain to work on a new piece of softwareThis Software ingests race and car data, with an aim to enable greater visibility on key information to allow the racing team to make better data-driven decisions.The RoleAs a Lead Java/Python Engineer, you will help with the ongoing development of this platform, collaborating with 3 other Engineers and a Quant Modeller. The software is currently in an early alpha stage, so there are plenty of opportunities to work on a range of new features, working on bug fixes and growing out an application at its early stages.There will be lots of opportunities to attend race days as part of this role, where you will see the practical implementation of the software that you are developing, as well as speaking to the users to understand their requirements further.Requirements8+ years experience of Java and Python, as well as strong experience working with APIsExperience in tech leadership and line managementAn active interest in the motorsport industrySome experience of JavaScript, experience with React would be an advantage but not a requirementWillingness to work on a product in the early stages of developmentAbility to travel for race-days across EnglandJob InformationIndustry Technology Salary 100-120k Tech Stack Java; Python Work Experience 5+ years City London State/Province Greater London Country United Kingdom Zip/Postal Code EC1A
