Lead Data Engineer Location: London Salary: Up to £90,000 Work type: Full Time Hybrid (3 days in office) Our client, a rapidly growing company in the financial services sector, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to help build and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS, Databricks, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks. This role involves enhancing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting the company’s analytics initiatives. Responsibilities: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions using AWS and Databricks. Optimize data processing, ensuring quality and consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. Develop data models and schemas for analytics and reporting. Implement data security protocols and ensure compliance with regulations. Key Skills: 3 years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, with a focus on AWS and Databricks. Strong proficiency in Python and Apache Spark. Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling. Experience with streaming applications and data quality frameworks. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
