Mechanical Design Engineer Ripon area, up to 40k, Life cover, travel payments, pension Growing engineering company seek a Design Engineer to work in their busy drawing office producing both standard and bespoke designs for sheet metal fabrications. We seek someone with exposure to sheet metal design, a mechanical bias and confident 3D design skills. We are happy to consider people wishing to relocate to the area. The role of Mechanical Design Engineer includes: Producing 2 & 3D designs for manufacture Working with the shop floor to overcome design and fabrication issues Working on existing products to improve or alter existing designs Mechanical calculations Producing BOM's Once fully conversant with the existing product range you will have the opportunity to work on new product designs Mechanical Design Engineer Ideally come from a sheet metal fabrication background anyone who has progressed up from the shop floor is of particular interest Be fully conversant with 3D Design packages ideally inventor Ideally have worked with CAD/ CAM software such at Radan Hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification Be looking for a long term career with a successful engineering organisation Have your own transport or be willing to relocate to the local area Have experience of producing designs and calculations for manufacture The company: Offer excellent stability and the opportunity to learn and develop within the design team.
