Then look no further… What the role has to offer: Working on a new & exciting product and expanding customer base Working with new technology Opportunity to join a well-established knowledgeable team About the team/rewards You will be managing a multifunctional close-knit team made up of Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers. Your job within the team will be to deliver the design solution by delegating day-to-day tasks for the team and ensuring the team are working effectively. This team of around half a dozen are hardworking, sociable and welcoming with a strong work ethic. Our Opportunity You will be responsible for leading and coordinating high performance multi-discipline engineering teams through the full engineering design lifecycle. You will plan and prioritise engineering activities and resources in order to get projects to completion; meeting quality schedule and budgetary requirements. You will also develop the capability of engineers by coaching and sharing your knowledge in a continuous professional development environment. As well as managing risks and identifying opportunities during the project lifecycle. You will help to create an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Additionally, ensuring that the project deliverables meets the customer's requirements and contract specification. Lastly, you will communicate effectively, professionally and in a timely manner with internal personnel, external customers, consultants and subcontractors. About You You will have experience in system design and development of complex hardware and software systems together with proven experience in working collaboratively across multiple product development and specialist domain teams. You will have working knowledge of Safety (SIL) and a track record of working and delivering on solutions for a defence programme, together with significant experience interfacing with internal and external customers, understanding system requirements in the defence domain. You will be highly customer focused with excellent communications skills. As well as the ability to work in a fast moving environment with multiple parallel objectives. You will also have experience of working with technical requirements, statements of work, integration, verification and validation, acceptance criteria. Additionally, experience of writing technical documentation (plans, specifications, statements of work, reports). Lastly, experience with managing/contributing to bids.
