Job Profile Due to continuous expansion, we are actively recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner able to program set and operate 2axis Fixed Head CNC Lathes due to the expansion of the engineering team. Duties: Programming, Setting, and Operating 2 axis fixed head CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls. Writing new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. Editing pre-written programs, full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, and feeds. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. Producing precision machined parts and components to tight tolerances, up to 3m in length. Skills & Attributes: Proven time served experience in programming, setting, and operating 2 axis CNC turning machines. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC Lathes, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. Experience of Fanuc 210i-T and / or Manual Guide controls would be advantageous. Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner to be able to hit the ground running. Confident in working on parts up to 300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided (hoist training will also be provided).
