Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on project management, design, and implementation. You will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative engineering solutions for various infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare and review detailed designs and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Utilize Microdrainage and Civil 3D software for drainage design and civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, planners, and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to designs and specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare project reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress regularly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably within the UK.
• Proficiency in Microdrainage and Civil 3D software.
• Strong understanding of design standards, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it is desirable.
