IT Support Engineer | 3-4 Month FTC

I’m currently seeking an Interim Support Technician on behalf of a leading organisation based in Wisbech.   This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional to make an immediate impact!   Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing the upgrade of primarily laptops & mobile devices across the organisation, to ensure that devices are configured and deployed efficiently, while providing essential support to staff throughout the process. Oversee and manage the upgrade process for laptops and mobile devices across the organisation. Configure and set up new devices, ensuring they are fully functional and meet company standards. Provide 1st line IT support to users during the upgrade process, resolving any hardware or software issues. Ensure a smooth handover of new devices to users, including data migration and user support. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the upgrade process. Maintain an accurate log of devices and their status in the asset management system. Collaborate with the IT team to support any additional IT-related tasks during the interim period.  Experience Required Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally with experience in managing device upgrades. Strong knowledge of laptop and mobile device configuration. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently. Proficient in data migration and ensuring minimal disruption to users during device upgrades. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and supportive guidance to end users.
