What you will do br br Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below. br br Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with firmware, hardware & quality assurance engineers in JCI, and with 3rd party companies, to develop, enhance and test a wide range of CEM Access Control Hardware portfolio. The candidate will support the team in hitting time to market and quality milestones; allowing the CEM team to successfully meet revenue targets. br br The CEM brand has been growing year on year, consistently meeting aggressive targets from the business by expanding the portfolio into new and innovative technologies that solve real world problems for customers. br br How you will do it br br Design, develop, test and maintain software. br br Develop technical documentation in-line with industry best practices. br br Interface with other functions with the business to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. br br Adhere to development processes including design reviews, code reviews and coding guidelines. br br Act as an enthusiastic and motivated member of the product development team. br br Maintain knowledge of new technologies in the field of security systems. br br What we look for br br To qualify for the role, you must be able to work in our Belfast office at least 3 days per week or per business needs and meet the criteria below. br br Required Qualifications br br Authorization to work in the UK br br 5+ years of experience in software development in C/C++ in an ARM RTOS and/or embedded Linux system. br br Applicants must have Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics and Software, or similar degree. br br Experience of developing within an Agile framework. br br Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. br br Methodical and accurate. br br Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. br br Evidence of mentoring/coaching software team members. br br Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills br br Experience with a number of the following br br Multiple processor families br br RFID br br Hardware debugging tools br br Scripting languages br br Automated build systems br br Using network analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark). br br UDP, TCP br br Linux Kernel knowledge br br Multi-process and multi-threading br br Asynchronous programming br br Open-Source Software Integration and Software Security Mechanisms, br br #LI-Hybrid br br #GOSIA
