Role: Site Engineer
Salary: 400 - 450 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: Nottingham (Must be willing to travel)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Reporting to: Project Manager
The Site Engineer role
I'm working with a well-established civil engineering contractor who work who operate as main contractor on various civils projects. They have several new projects onboard in which they will need a Site Engineer to cover this work. The scope of works vary but include groundworks and road construction. This is a long-term role and the opportunity to work with a business who value contractors.
The right Site Engineer for this business will be someone who's worked on a civil engineering project before, they could have experience in groundworks or road construction, if you own your own equipment that would be advantageous but not essential.
As a Site Engineer you'll have
- Relevant HND/Degree in a Construction/Civil Engineering field
- Experience on working on civil engineering projects
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Track record of working on similar projects listed above
- A background in any civil engineering discipline
Some of the responsibilities of the Site Engineer include
- Setting out for project
- Interpret and execute from construction drawings
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors
- Keep accurate site records and site diaries
- Record ordering of plant and materials
- Supervise and direct subcontractors
- Produce permits, risk assessments, method statements, work package plans and task briefings
- Other Site Engineer related activities
