Senior Frontend Software Engineer

The Opportunity: My client are a technology software house who are currently looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on a permanent basis. In this role you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining their cutting-edge software applications adhering to agile principles with Scrum as the chosen methodology. You will be passionate about technology, thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment, and have a strong proficiency in a wide range of technologies including React, Next JS, Playwright and Typescript if you had proficiency in anything such as Cucumber or Jest that would be desirable but isn’t essential. Skills and Experience: 5 years’ experience in Frontend Software Development Expertise in React and Next.js and solid experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries.​ Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and component libraries like UI.​ Good knowledge of back-end technologies, particularly C# and .NET.​ Experience integrating front-end and back-end services, with a deep understanding of APIs.​ Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, and Cucumber.​ A proven ability to mentor and lead junior developers.​ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss both front-end and back-end concepts with technical and non-technical stakeholders.​ ​ ​Experience with SEO optimisation for web applications and lead-generation websites.​ Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.​ Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for both front-end and back-end systems.​ Lead code reviews and enforce front-end development standards.​ Work with the front-end and back-end teams to ensure smooth integration of APIs and services.​ Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices. Apply innovative solutions to improve existing systems and processes.​ Work closely with product managers, colleagues, and other engineers to understand requirements and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
