Senior Software Engineer

About the Role This role entails providing innovative, technical solutions for Cirdans portals, including software code and technical support, with a strong focus on end-users, high quality, performance, safety, security and maintainability. Primary role and responsibilities Provide innovative, technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users, high quality (meets Quality Management System/regulatory standards), performance, safety, security and maintainability. Promote and advocate engineering best practices, recommend design patterns, identify opportunities to refactor code within the team Design, code, document, test (automated) and maintain software in line with the Quality Management System Actively participate in the agile ceremonies e.g. sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement, contributing to continuous improvement of the team, software and processes Keep abreast of technical knowledge through self-learning and sharing best practices techniques and development tools Develop software code, fix bugs, write unit tests, perform regular code reviews Provide technical support to internal and external customers Use source code control for software changes Document and track software issues using Atlassian JIRA Plan, process and perform all tasks in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor Acquire and maintain knowledge of working practices of a pathology laboratory Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of medical software Mentor, train, support and provide technical leadership to other team members Build working relationships with other key departments Assist the development of new business, markets, and products. Contribute technically to and drive team objectives / key results as well as product delivery KPIs. Help testers and support personnel as needed to identify, replicate and resolve system problems. Knowledge & skills Experience with Application Programming Interface development using C# / .NET (version 6 or higher).
