The Role:
Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
Work on an array on fabrication, cutting, pressing, shot blasting & spraying equipment
Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.
The Requirements:
Mechanical Bias preferred
Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer within Plant, Manufacturing, FMCG, Moulding would be advantageous
Relevant qualification or time served engineers (over 10 years experience for time served / City & Guilds / NVQS)
A good understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems would be advantageous
