Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Supervisor on a permanent basis, located in Staffordshire (hybrid working) Role Summary The role’s function is to obtain competitive quotations for bids, create and maintain new vendors on the accounts system, and working closely with the Procurement Manager to deliver other functions of purchasing to the business. The role is a key function within the business and requires a team player who can associate themselves professionally to Bid and Project teams. There is also a close working relationship with the Buyers in the department to drive better service and value through to the business from its supply chain. It also requires building on existing Supplier and Subcontractor relationships, however there is an element of Sourcing of new Supply Chain where required. Role Description: * Managing a Quotations Inbox. Ensuring good organisation of the flow of quotations to the requesting staff. * Identifying, recording and ensuring our Discounts are appropriately provided on quotations and obtaining further discounts wherever possible. * Beginning and maintaining a discount and deal register for work with the Procurement Manager- Both Project and Corporate expenditure. * Working with the Procurement Manager closely on Terms and Conditions of business with the supply chain. * To occasionally deputise for the Procurement Manager where required. * Involvement in Client and Internal Audits alongside the Procurement Manager. Essential Requirements * Good, polite and effective negotiating skills in a personable manner. * Understanding Terms and Conditions of business, primarily Supply of products only. * Good Vendor Management skills. * Computer literate – working experience of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams. * Excellent telephone manner and communications skills. * Able to work in isolation and with a team. Desirable Requirements: * Reasonable Understanding of H&S and CDM regulations. * CIPS Qualified to any level. HND/HNC or Degree qualified. * Subcontractor management experience. * Able to communicate effectively at all staff levels. * Experience in one or more modern electronic Purchase Order Systems / Accounting Software. * Experience of working in a Purchasing Role in the Electronics industry.
