We are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a growing high performance vehicle engineering customer of ours in Silverstone.
The company are engaged in a number of exciting and motorsport / track-based vehicle projects working with some of the world s leading vehicle manufacturers.

Overview
Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust quality processes for key materials used in our customer s products.
Main Duties
You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and overall supplier performance including;
- Define, create, and manage a strategy for meeting the programmes quality requirement
- Ensuring customers requirements are being met through establishing robust internal processes and providing engineering feedback where required
- Managing and continuously improving an agile quality management system and team
- Supporting FMEA activities
- Provide guidance to the inspection team and ensuring quality best practices are being followed
- Creating close working relationships with suppliers to ensure the development of safety critical parts are robustly manufactured
- Auditing suppliers for approval or performance assessment of new and existing suppliers
- Developing strategies to ensure visual carbon composites are in line with the customer requirements whilst having a right-first-time mentality
- Utilising 8D principles as a basis for effective problem resolution and able to facilitate the resolution of complex, cross functional issues
- Actively working with suppliers to collaboratively develop product specifications to align with process capability
Essential
- At least 2 years working in a Supplier Quality Engineer capacity.
- Ability to travel independently to visit UK based customers twice / week.
- A background working in the automotive, motorsport and/or aerospace industries.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawing requirements (GD&T).
- Solid understanding of ISO9001 requirements.
- Proven experience in face-to-face customer interactions.
Desirable
- Experience working with composite materials.
- Background working in a low-volume / R&D, high-value product environment especially high-performance vehicles.
