This exciting opportunity in our Newcastle Water Team allows you to tackle challenges head-on, whilst developing innovative solutions using cutting-edge practices, and leave a lasting impact on our communities. Our Civil Engineers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and also detailed design, within our design and build joint ventures. We work on a variety of project sectors across the UK and Ireland, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage Youll be responsible for the development of the civil engineering design, guided by our Project Technical Leads and Senior / Principal Civil Engineers within the team. You will also have the opportunity to work on frameworks across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with colleagues, external organisations, partners & stakeholders nationwide. There are opportunities to work on iconic projects such as Southern Waters Water for Life Hampshire, which provides resilience, strategic infrastructure, and water supplies to the communities of Hampshire. Previous award winning projects our Civil Engineers have worked include the like of theKings Scholars Pond Sewer Rehabilitationproject and theBrighton & Hove WwTW Scheme. About You Youll have a degree in Civil Engineering (or related subject) and be working toward Chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM. You will also have a passion for the Water & Environment sector, with experience of delivering community focused projects and working collaborative with project teams to develop innovative solutions. This experience will have been achieved in wastewater infrastructure, including the delivery of sewer flooding and pollution projects, ideally with a focus on Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management.
