The company are a leader in advanced energy solutions and renewable power generation and our looking for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.
Overview:In this role, you will be responsible for developing the companies next generation of switchboards, electrical drives and distribution equipment for Marine, Naval and Power Generation applications.
In this role you will:
- Develop innovative electrical design solutions for electrical equipment and switchboards, taking responsibility for detailed equipment layouts, circuit diagrams and definition of materials.
Providing a principle point of contact for the electrical design portions of project execution, providing the mechanical design team with clear guidance for the electrical design requirements for equipment, supporting the procurement of electrical parts and assemblies and in resolving quality issues with vendors.
Participate in technical reviews of designs, providing support for the resolution of problems and ensuring all designs incorporate best engineering practice.
Experiences Required:
Experience in the use of AutoCAD for the creation of 2D drawings.
Experience in the use of E-Plan or similar design software, for the creation of electrical circuit diagrams.
A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or significant experience in an electrical design engineering environment.
Good technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, electrical circuit design and testing procedures.
