I am currently working with a large private sector company in the West Midlands on the hunt for an Analytics/Data Engineer to join a growing team. If you are a data professional looking for the opportunity to join a large growing company and progress your career, please read through the below. - This role will be hybrid working 1-2 days on site per week in Warwickshire - £40,000 to £50,000 p/a depending on experience - This company is rapidly growing and there will be an opportunity to up-skill and grow within the data environment. - Competitive benefits package As The Data Engineer, you will be acting as lead in data engineering projects and supporting the development of Data Management and reporting, as well as being responsible for a multitude of tasks, including, running bespoke projects for individual business units - ensuring data availability, accuracy, automation, and visibility. Supporting the growth of a new data culture from the ground-up by facilitating increased data literacy and new tool adoption. Experience: Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering) or equivalent experience Experience working in an agile environment/Atlassian tools Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences Expertise in working with Azure including, Data factory, Kubernetes, SQL Server MI, Azure SQL & Synapse Expert at ETL/ ELT using SQL tools as well external programming languages (R/ Python) Extensive experience with SQL including - query optimization, stored procedures, database creation & maintenance, index optimization & efficient table structuring Extensive practical implementation of data best working practices including, Confluence, Jira (agile methodologies, sprints and project management), Version Control (GitHub) & Naming conventions Expert at transforming raw data from multiple sources into useful data systems, improving data quality, its overall accessibility and visibility (Tableau / PowerBI) Experience of running projects Accountabilities: Drive significant efficiencies through Data through exemplary use and execution of modern technology leveraging the Azure Data technology stack and AI Derive business value from Data whilst meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers, suppliers and colleagues in an innovative and future-driven technology landscape. Improving and streamlining data systems and providing robust solutions for business reporting. Consolidating and maintaining existing data sources and solutions, while driving the adoption of cloud services. Build effective and credible relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted partner through stakeholder engagement Deliver technical projects in-line with the business strategy. Liaise with data scientists/ engineers/ analysts to ensure project scalability and architectures do not impact model outputs and all are accessible to all stakeholders Consolidation of legacy system data sources into our Microsoft Azure tenant Maintenance and development of existing databases and, preservation of external products & BAU pipelines Expansion to provide streamlined data automation to all business departments Contribute and support the Data Engineering Lead in delivering a new data culture Ensure data availability, visibility and integrity are pioneered through increased data literacy across the business Successful implementation and execution of key projects and associated KVD's What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
