The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of their production machinery. You’ll be hands-on, responsible for conducting planned preventative maintenance and addressing any reactive maintenance needs that arise. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime, and keeping their production lines running smoothly. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with the production teams to quickly resolve equipment challenges and ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations. You will also assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Your innovative mindset will enable you to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization, helping the business deliver exceptional products to their customers. Accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring operations run efficiently. The Person This role is ideal for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in food manufacturing or FMCG. You should possess a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery effectively. A solid understanding of food safety standards and health regulations is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. A proactive approach and keen attention to detail will set you apart, as will your strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
