NIGHT SHIFT - 9pm - 7am Mon-Thursday

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist with a knack for precision and an eye for detail? MDE are on the hunt for a talented individual with experience in machining components for tooling using a 3-axis machine for a fast paced tool room in the Birmingham area. If you have a passion for engineering and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you! The ideal candidate will be experiences with online programming and able to machine 1 off components from engineering drawings. You will also be able to debug code to achieve the required results. The role is in a fast paced manufacturing Toolroom and you will need to be able to make parts to a high quality standard in an efficient manner.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operating and setting up 3-axis CNC machines to machine components for tooling.
  • Programming and fault-finding directly at the machine, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality, precision components.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure all products meet strict standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain production schedules and solve any machining issues.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with 3-axis machines.
  • Strong programming skills and the ability to fault-find at the machine.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with accuracy.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
