SCL Section Engineer

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a SCL Section Engineer (Spray Concrete Lining) to join our our Major Intermediate Shaft team in Birmingham. Role Purpose: To provide management and control of a section of SCL works and team comprising Shift Engineers management of sub contractors focusing on Concrete and civil works. What you'll be doing: * Overseeing the Spray Concrete Lining (SCL) and Reinforced Concrete (RC) * Manage team of SCL Engineers and Site engineers * Prepare / review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans * Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues * Understands cost and value * Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers and Client * Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard. * Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility. * Able to produce a fully resourced stage programme in the accepted format / software Who we're looking for: * Holds a valid CSCS * Has a UK driving licence * Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long established joint venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure.
