What you'll be doing:

• To developand maintain safety commissioning management arrangements todeliver the Naval Reactor Plant
To deliver a SafetyCommissioning Schedule to enable safe delivery of the Naval ReactorPlant Assessing plant safetycommissioning maturity for entry into subsequent buildphases Facilitating the ReactorPlant build and commissioning delivery programme through innovativeengineering solutions and problemsolving To lead or support theresolution of safety commissioningchallenges Advise and conductIntelligent Customer duties regarding documentation, advice andservices provided to the business relating to safety commissioningof the plant Produce the SafetyCommissioning compliance and assurance reports to support thesafety case Support the development ofthe team through mentorship andguidance Writing and presentingreports to communicate nuclear safety matters to a variety ofinternal and externalstakeholders

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree QualifiedEngineering/Physical Science discipline; Electrical, Mechanical,Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry,Physics
Knowledge of the nuclearindustry and Nuclear Regulations
• Previous exposure toEngineeringLifecycle
Awareness of demonstratingsafety commissioning a Nuclearplant Previous Nuclear plantexperience

Desirable:

• Proven technical report writingskills
Presentationskills

The Platform Nuclear Engineering Department is a growingcapability to accommodate the growing Nuclear Engineering demand onthe business as the shipyard takes on an unprecedented challenge ofdelivering multiple classes of Naval Reactor Plant. The team coversactivities ranging from design safety assurance,engineering/technical problem solving to practical innovation andimprovement projects across the Engineering Lifecycle with a strongfocus on the Build and Commission of the reactor plant.
