Mechanical Installation Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Installation Engineers (Self-Employed Basis) Location: Various Sites (Travel Required) Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time, Freelance Expected Hours: 45 – 65 per week About the Role: We are looking for 2 Mechanical Installation Engineers to join our growing team on a self-employed basis. As a company, we provide vans, tools, hotels (if working away), and a meal allowance each night you are away from home. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a wide variety of equipment, including Penstocks, large isolation valves, large diameter pipework, as well as handrailing and vehicle barrier systems. Responsibilities: * Install mechanical equipment and pipework, typically found on water and water treatment sites. * Work from installation drawings and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. * Problem-solve any issues that arise during equipment installation. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical installation, especially with pipework and related equipment in water treatment settings. You should have experience working to installation drawings and be confident in handling challenges that come up during site work. Qualifications (Preferred but not Essential): * CSCS (Essential) * Telehandler * IPaF * PASMA * EUSR * Welding * Slinger * SSSTS * Confined Spaces – Medium Risk (Minimum) Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * Meal allowance when working away * Tools, vans, and accommodation provided when required Schedule: * 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts * Day shifts, Monday to Friday Application Requirements: * Willingness to work away from home as needed. * At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering. * Valid CSCS certification (required).
