Electrical Estimator

Position: Electrical Estimator Location: (Wolverhampton, UK) Duration: Permanent Full-time (Hybrid working available after 3-6 months) Bartlett Swann is recruiting on behalf of a prominent Mechanical and Electrical services provider in the building services industry. Our client specialises in delivering high-quality solutions for large-scale projects across key sectors such as Data Centres, Logistics, Industrial, and Commercial. With a proven track record of success across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, theyve earned a strong reputation for delivering innovative and efficient services to leading names in the industry. The Role: As an Electrical Estimator , youll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely estimates for electrical projects from pre-tender through to post-tender stages. Initially based in the Wolverhampton office, with the option for hybrid working after 3-6 months, your responsibilities will include: Preparing tenders in line with company standards, ensuring all details are consistently accurate. Reviewing project costs post-completion to assess performance against the budget, driving continuous improvements. Collaborating with the estimating team to hit revenue targets and share best practices. Producing accurate take-offs, using estimating software to fully understand project costs. Managing supplier and subcontractor enquiries, ensuring compliance with specifications and project needs. Identifying value engineering and product substitution opportunities where relevant. Keeping an eye on market trends and competition to ensure competitive and informed pricing. About you: We are keen to speak with candidates who: Have previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or experience preparing electrical estimates in the building services industry. Have experience in sectors like Data Centres, Amazon Fulfilment Centres, or other large-scale industrial projects. Hold a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred). Possess knowledge of electrical installations (preferred but not essential). Have strong interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
