Process Safety Engineer - £45,000 - Milton Keynes - Career Progression I'm looking for a Process Safety Engineer to strengthen safety practices and advance sustainability in the chemical industry. In this role, you'll ensure compliance, lead safety assessments and drive impactful initiatives that improve operations and make a real difference. This role supports the SHE team in maintaining high safety standards, focusing on regulatory compliance, particularly with COMAH and contributing to key safety initiatives. You’ll also collaborate with regulatory bodies like the HSE and EA, ensuring inspections and audits are followed up with action plans. Responsibilities: Offer technical expertise to ensure compliance with safety regulations like COMAH, and assist the SHE team with process safety management. Work alongside the SHE team to engage with regulators, ensuring timely follow-ups on inspections and audits. Take part in safety reviews such as HAZOP and LOPA to ensure systems are compliant and risks are managed effectively. Help create and execute action plans to address safety concerns and improve safety practices across sites. Lead safety improvements and contribute to projects that enhance sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and improve operational efficiency.You’ll need a degree in a relevant industry with 2+ years of process safety experience. You will need to have HAZOP, LOPA and COMAH knowledge and functional safety along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and flexibility to travel.
