HVAC Equipment Contract Technical Assistance
Activities to be carried out as part of the service:
Anchorage calculation, qualification, surveillance and checking.
The Anchorage Civil Engineer ensures the production and monitoring of the civil
engineering of the buildings on the nuclear island and proposes technical solutions.
They will directly receive work assignments from and report to the team Leader.
• Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data.
• Produces the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes,
technical specifications, calculation notes).
• Coordinate the work of CAD Designer in conjunction with the Design Office Manager.
• Perform design activities for fastenings in concrete.
• Perform technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building.
• Create and maintain and responsible for the Design Risk Register
• Responsible for anchorage design activities
Skill level required : Engineer - Level 2
Technical Field : Mechanical study and equipment, calculation of piping and valves.

Required technical skills:
Essential:
· Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
· Seismic calculation experience (FEA - Finite Element Analysis)
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience of system engineering, layout engineering or relevant experience.
· Ability to effectively manage own and team’s workload to meet the deadlines and KPI forecast.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English
· Proactive and confident in communicating with others, particularly those based in remote offices
including France and Germany.
· Proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project.
· Ability to prioritise, manage numerous tasks with other stakeholders.
· Experience in technical, cost, and schedule management of high-value technical contracts.
· Experience in project configuration management.
· Proficiency in utilizing Navisworks or equivalent software.
Desirable qualifications, experience and skills:
· Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils)
· Knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers
· HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles
· Knowledge of nuclear safety classification
· Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site
· Knowledge of UK licensing requirements and its application within the HPC project
Preferred starting date: 1/11/2024
Estimated duration of the service: 18 months including 12 agreed months and 6 optional months
