Electrical Design and field Service Engineer (Permanent)

Somerset

Up to £45,000 DOE + Bonus + Company Pension Plan

Monday to Friday

An Electrical Design and Field Service Engineer sought for an industry leading manufacturer based in Somerset. The main responsibilities of the Electrical Design and Field Service Engineer are to provide technical support to the sales team by providing quotations and liaise with customers to ensure products are designed correctly, undertaking fault finding and electrical/mechanical repairs where needed.

The role will be suited to an experienced Field service or installations and commissioning engineer that has experience using computer design packages such as AutoCAD to create technical drawings.

The Role:

  • Prepare quotations and technical drawings
  • Update and refine old drawings
  • Configure and test equipment before it leaves the workshop
  • Check and approve drawings for production
  • Provide technical support to other departments and customers
  • Carry out site surveys prior to installation and as part of fault finding.
  • Provide fault finding and system training to customers.
  • Carry out fault finding and electrical/mechanical repairs.

The Person:

  • Electrical Qualification
  • Control panel design experience
  • Experience using computer design packages such as AutoCAD
  • Experience working independently on site
  • Able to travel and work away from home occasionally
