You will:
- Create, improve and develop complex hybrid systems.
- Be project focussed, liaise with mechanical and control system engineers to deliver technically advanced solutions.
- Work with the rest of the engineering department to ensure companywide efficiencies through improvements in processes, material selection and technology.
- Understand and work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires anin-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Frequently advise others on complex matters, often acting as a mentor for less experienced members of the team
Duties and Responsibilities
- As an experienced electrical design engineer, you will have direct technical responsibility for our larger hybrid projects – both land and marine based systems, typically focussed around Danfoss drive technology.
- You will also be called on for your input, knowledge, and experience on other projects within the business.
- The job will be office based but there will be a need to travel (infrequently) to customers based in the UK and abroad (mainly in Europe) to troubleshoot existing, and commission new systems.
Qualifications and experience
? A degree in electrical engineering (and significant relatable
experience), a relevant master’s degree or PhD would be an
advantage.
? Demonstrable advanced wide-ranging experience, using in-depth
professional knowledge, acumen, concepts and company objectives to
develop, resolve complex models and procedures.
? Marine/yachting experience would be beneficial
? Ideally, working experience with drive technology
? Ideally, working experience with battery systems, typically in the 300 –
700V range
Knowledge and
technical skills
? Display an extensive working knowledge of E-Plan (AutoCAD for
legacy projects)
? Evidence of designing electrical control panels and switchgear
? Working knowledge of setup and commissioning complex systems,
working alongside control engineers and others.
