Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company in Hertfordshire who are looking for a brand-new Compliance Manager to join their team.

They are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to be responsible for the successful operational delivery of a range of work streams including Gas, responsive repairs, planned maintenance programs or major works and projects across multiple contracts.

Duties:

  • Providing strategic monthly progress reports on compliance performance, to include but not limited to, Key Performance indicators, programme, quality assurance and resident feedback where appropriate.
  • Keep the asset datasets up to date ensuring that updates occur in a timely manner, and ensuring that the cost base is annually reviewed.
  • Manage and control budgets and expenditure
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation
  • Prepare specifications, designs, contract and tender documentation to procure works and services, complete tender appraisal and appointment.
  • Strategically manage the main compliance contractors including Gas Asbestos Water Hygiene Electrical and Fire Safety
  • Lead on external audits in the compliance areas
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and best practice
  • Draft, modify and implement company policies

Required Experience:

  • Managing large budgets, ensuring expenditure is in line with budget estimates
  • Have a strong knowledge of compliance and health and safety within the housing gas sector having worked in a housing association or local authority
  • Linking on the ground delivery with the strategic direction
  • Maintaining compliance by ensuring projects are completed in line with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Full UK clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purpose
  • Be a professional in the housing sector by aiming towards and achieving professional development through the chartered institute of housing
