Junior or Apprentice Multi-skilled Engineer (Depending on level coming in with) It will either be Standard apprenticeship wage or up to £13 an hour. (Depending on level coming in with) Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Engineering Apprentice specializing in Electrical and Mechanical systems. This is a full-time apprenticeship role that provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while pursuing formal education. Responsibilities Assist with Equipment Maintenance: Work alongside experienced engineers to perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshooting: Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery, including electrical systems, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components. Installation and Repair: Participate in the installation, repair, and upgrade of electrical and mechanical systems within the facility, under the guidance of senior engineers. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical and mechanical equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents. Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades performed on equipment. Assist in updating equipment manuals and schematics as needed. Continuous Learning: Attend college one day a week to complete coursework related to electrical and mechanical engineering. Apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world applications within the workplace. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and management to achieve operational goals and improve efficiency. Professional Development: Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Qualifications High school diploma. Strong interest in electrical and mechanical engineering. A basic understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical systems is preferred. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures. Day-to-day Work alongside experienced engineers to perform maintenance tasks.
