You’ll be instrumental in enhancing development speed and workflow with Vite, focusing on rapid prototyping and efficient builds. You will ensure code quality and reliability by writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Vitest. You will build, test, and document reusable UI components with Storybook, ensuring scalability and consistency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a user-friendly, cohesive product, while optimising performance for speed and scalability. You will contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies to maintain cutting-edge solutions. To Be Successful: You will need to have at least 5 years of experience in web development with a strong background in building and maintaining complex applications. You should be proficient in React (including hooks and context API), TypeScript, and modern web technologies like Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3. You’ll need hands-on experience with Vite for development efficiency and expertise in testing frameworks like Vitest or Jest. You will need strong experience with Storybook for developing and documenting UI components, and familiarity with state management libraries. You should be skilled in API integration, version control (Git), and responsive design principles. You will need to have strong problem-solving abilities, be a self-starter attitude, and have the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the UK. Working Hours: The company operates a fully flexible working approach, however you will need to show commitment to the role and be able to dedicate time outside of the normal 9-5 hours, particularly during the early phase of development prior to launch.
