Mechanical Fitter

Job title: Mechanical Fitter Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Contract: Initial 8 weeks (Possibly ongoing) Start: ASAP Rate: Around £18 limited per hour/around £13.50-£40.00 PAYE per hour Benefits: Weekly pay Onsite parking About the opportunity: Mechanical Fitter required for a company that manufactures high speed conveyor machinery. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be building and assembling the conveyor machinery to company's standards and procedure. Role & Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for building special purpose machinery from start to finish This will require fitting sub-assemblies from engineering drawings and fitting sub-assemblies to produce the final build Must be able to use various hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, allen keys along with electrical power tools Other tasks will include, marking out, drilling, tapping etc. You will be working from engineering drawings and using various hand tools Skills & experience: The ideal Mechanical Fitter will have previous experience of machine building, detailed fitting and precision assembly fitting skills and experience. You must be able to work to Engineering drawings and diagrams You must have your own basic tools and safety boots, any specialist tools will be provided by the client
