Proposal Engineer – Chemical Engineering
Greater Manchester based (hybrid working)
£40,000 – £50,000 plus bonus and benefits
Several Proposal Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will take ownership and responsibility for various customer orders within the business.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.
Overview of the Proposal Engineer role:
- Lead and support the systems quotation and sales process by developing technically and commercially sound solutions that meet customers' specific requirements.
- This includes prioritizing requests, providing accurate cost estimates, creating customized quotes and working closely with various departments and customers to deliver innovative, efficient and profitable systems.
- Responsibility for supporting all technical requirements and deliverables for contracts.
- The scope will be to provide direct support for contracts executed directly by the business, and to provide support to peripheral activities including but not limited to proposals, aftersales support, testing, engineering change, research and development, training and sales.
Key skills required for the Proposal Engineer role:
- A diploma/degree qualification in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering
- A knowledge of process design within the process sector is preferred.
- A knowledge of working with engineering contractors would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and working experience of international design standards and codes.
