A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician or Technical Architect to join a well-established social housing developer based in East London.
This developer is known for delivering high-quality residential projects across London and the South East, with a focus on high-rise developments. They are currently building an in-house design team and are looking for a highly skilled individual to take on a leadership role in the team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will lead and manage the new design team, playing a key role in the design and delivery of high-rise residential developments. Working on projects from concept through to completion, the role requires someone who can work independently, show initiative, and communicate effectively with contractors on-site. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential, as is strong knowledge of UK building regulations and fire safety standards for high-rise buildings. Do note this role is based full time in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and leading the in-house design team
- Creating detailed architectural and technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Leading the design of high-rise residential projects across London and the South East
- Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and fire safety standards
- Collaborating with contractors on-site and ensuring smooth communication
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Working independently and taking initiative on project management and problem-solving
Candidate Requirements:
- At least 8 years post qualification experience as an Architectural Technician, with a focus on residential and high-rise projects
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, with particular focus on fire safety and high-rise development
- Prior experience working in-house for a developer
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team, as well as to work independently
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in liaising with contractors on-site
- Previous experience working on residential or mixed use projects in the UK
- The right to live and work in the UK
