Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter - £35,000 to £40,000 - Southeast / Southeast London Multiple shifts available - 12 hours, 4 on, 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights - Monday – Friday  7am – 4pm (45 hours per week lunch included) As a Mechanical Fitter you will have a wide range of responsibilities at the recycling plant. Overall, you will be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work and delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction. The Role:  • Carry out repairs to all equipment where requested. • Carry out maintenance servicing to all equipment and customers own equipment when relevant. • Carry out preventative maintenance works to all equipment • Fault finding on all equipment • Provide support to all departmental team members. • Responsible for maintaining stock levels. • Transfer knowledge to other staff members that can learn from your experience • Carry out training and installs where required You: Experience working on baling machines, compactors or other recycling equipment is required
