Design Engineer

Job Description Service Engineer Permanent Staff | Whitstable The Company An international engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture of industrial filtration systems for a wide number of applications. The Role This is a position that will require a dedicated and skilled Design Engineer. You will be responsible to produce quality and bespoke designs for specific contracts in collaboration with the Design Manager. The work will include the following: * Prepare calculations and design of all vessels based on PD5500; EN and ASME codes of practice * Make a selection of suitable weld types and preparation details * Design vessel and components using Creo 3D CAD software * Assist in developing the use of existing design tools to reduce costs and improved lead times within the department * Produce innovative and novel new product designs, and to assist in the development of existing products The Candidate To apply for this role, you must 1. HNC or above in Engineering or equivalent experience (i.e. a time served apprentice) 2. Experience of working in an engineering environment 3. 3D parametric CAD system experience 4. Pressure vessel experience and pressure vessel code experience 5. Experience of basic mechanical and design principles Reward The company will offer the successful candidate a competitive salary
