The Role:


As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's engineering culture and product roadmap. You will lead a team of passionate engineers, drive the execution of technical projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets our ambitious goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead & Manage: Oversee a team of skilled engineers, providing direction, feedback, and mentorship to help them excel in their roles.


  • Drive Delivery: Ensure timely, high-quality software delivery by establishing clear goals, setting priorities, and removing obstacles.


  • Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.


  • Innovate: Influence and guide the technical direction of the company, proposing and implementing new technologies, processes, and best practices.


  • Grow & Develop: Foster a culture of learning and improvement, supporting the professional growth of your team through coaching and training opportunities.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.


  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development with experience in [specific tech stack or languages], architecture design, and scaling systems.


  • Mentorship: A passion for guiding and developing engineering talent, with a focus on team cohesion and career development.


  • Problem Solver: Ability to approach complex challenges methodically and creatively, providing innovative solutions.


  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • Delivery-Focused: Track record of delivering high-quality software on time, while navigating ambiguity and balancing trade-offs.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or management role, preferably in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in [list relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools].
  • Experience with [cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or specific methodologies] is a plus.
