CNC Turner Setter/Operator

An exciting position is available for a skilled CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a thriving organisation. The role involves setting and operating CNC lathes equipped with Fanuc control systems, ensuring precision and high-quality standards. Salary: £14 - £16 per hour Working Hours: 38 hours per week, alternating fortnightly between mornings and afters Key Duties: * Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. * Hand deburring and finishing of detailed parts. * Inspect and verify the quality of finished work. * Adjust and troubleshoot machine settings and offsets as needed. * Accurately interpret technical engineering drawings. * Understand and interact with CNC programmes through the machine interface. * Use the company’s manufacturing system to manage materials, check part requirements, and track progress. * Maintain a clean and efficient workspace within a 5S cell environment. Experience and Skills Required: * Strong experience in CNC turning operations. * A positive team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Sound knowledge of Fanuc control systems. * Proven experience in a similar role. Qualifications: * Completed an engineering apprenticeship. * Relevant certifications such as City & Guilds, NVQs, or equivalent in engineering.
