Quantitative Developer – New Multi-Strat Desk – London / Hybrid - £200k Comp Company: Top calibre hedge fund with a London HQ and over £100bn. They're investing heavily in diversifying into new markets on a global scale, specifically in the build out of a brand new multi-strategy systematic trading desk primarily for Fixed Income and Equities. Role: You’ll be sitting with Quant Researchers and traders to build and implement systematic trading strategies as well as building out the infrastructure and quant libraries that underpin trading for the whole group. Working in Python primarily, your role will sit at the intersection between tech and business, so you’ll also be building beautifully engineered, highly distributed software in object-oriented Python. Must have: Strong background in object-oriented Python 3.x, with minimum 4 years’ commercial experience. Commercial experience working in the front office, having worked closely with quants, traders and other business users. Proven history working in highly Agile environments with TDD, pair programming, eXtreme programming etc. Good grasp of fundamental computer science concepts including algorithms, data structures, complexity and strong system design principles. Nice to have: Computer Science or Mathematics related degree having achieved minimum 2:1. Understanding of cloud computing specifically with AWS. Experience building and/or implementing systematic trading strategies in Equities, FX or Fixed Income. Company benefits: Market-leading salaries with first year business bonuses of 30%.
