Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the Deeside area, are looking for a Design Engineer/Draughtsperson for immediate start due to increased workloads. The hourly rate will be up to £18.46/hr which is equivalent to 36k per annum. There is a good chance this role may end up becoming permanent but initially the role will be via Kinetic on an ongoing basis. Reporting to the Projects Department Manager the job requires the following: Duties & Responsibilities: The Design Engineer/Draughtsperson will assist project leaders in generating, reviewing and maintaining mostly 2D drawings to company and customer's standards using AutoCAD. The type of drawings required could range from mechanical, electrical and manufacturing drawings to interconnection and flow diagrams. Duties & Responsibilities: * Co-ordinate and formalise AutoCAD drawing formats and standards for the company * This will include checking other engineers' drawings. * Produce and update a range of electrical, mechanical and functionally descriptive CAD drawings. * Compile basic design level modifications and drafts from project leaders. * Provide formal and informal guidance of drawing practices to other engineers. * Manage the release of drawings for production and control drawing issue. * Maintain company's drawing standards and technical records. Skills & Experience: * Excellent verbal and written skills in English. * Excellent interpersonal skills, good at working within a team environment. * Flexible, versatile, self-motivated, fast learner, results focused, willing to give additional * input as and when required to meet customer's requirements. * A minimum of 3 years track record in CAD experience working in any engineering industry, preferably using AutoCAD 2D or 3D. Experience using similar packages such as Inventor or Solid works would be advantageous but not essential. * Knowledge and experience of drawing changes procedures and revision control as well as basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001) is required. * Ability to handle dynamic work load and priorities.
