Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Location: West Bromwich Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 6.45am- 17.00pm and Friday 7.00am - 16.30pm (Hours are negotiable from 40 hrs per week to 48 hrs per week) Competitive Salary: £29- £39k Dependant on experience ( salary will be adjusted pro rata accordingly) Company Benefits: 25 days paid holiday (and all UK Bank Holidays) Paid sick scheme, free life assurance and access to a stakeholder pension scheme. Contract: Permanent Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team within a lower tier COMAH facility and we are looking for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities: * Mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment working on equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pipework etc. * Mechanical plant installation and modification work. * Statutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning work. * The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. * The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works. * Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems. Qualifications /Experience: * Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Mechanical Fitting/Engineering discipline as a minimum. * Ideally you would have a recognised Mechanical apprenticeship. * Ideally you would also have training with MEWP’s, Abrasive wheels and Confined Spaces.
