Job Title: Acoustics Engineer (Consultant) Contract Duration: 3-4 Months Location: Remote/Flexible (with occasional in-person meetings) Start Date: December 2024 Hours: Flexible About Us: At Vox Aeris , we are pioneering cutting-edge air filtration solutions using advanced acoustics technology. Our mission is to create more efficient and sustainable air quality systems. As part of this journey, we are looking for an experienced Acoustics Engineer to join our team on a consultancy or contract basis for a 3-4 month project, starting in December 2024 . This is an exciting project funded by the Department for Transport and offers an opportunity to contribute to a project that blends aerodynamics , acoustics , and HVAC systems. Role Overview: The Acoustics Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development of a new particulate filtration system. You will be responsible for applying your expertise in acoustics to develop, test, and refine solutions that enhance the performance of our filtration technology. The role offers flexible working hours and the option to work remotely, with occasional in-person meetings as needed. Key Responsibilities: Consult and advise on the design and development of acoustic solutions for air filtration Optimize acoustic agglomeration techniques for use in HVAC or standalone systems Assist or advise in the prototyping and testing of acoustic-based filtration technology Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve the system’s performance and efficiency Document findings and present solutions to the engineering team Requirements: Proven experience as an Acoustics Engineer Strong background in designing and optimizing acoustic systems for real-world applications Experience with sound wave propagation, particle agglomeration, and environmental acoustics Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication skills for clear reporting and feedback integration Nice to Have: Experience with aerodynamic analysis or HVAC systems Proficiency in CFD tools (ENGYS preferred) Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA preferred) Knowledge of agglomeration mechanics Knowledge of energy-efficient filtration technologies Familiarity with particulate matter filtration techniques What We Offer: A flexible contract with remote working options The opportunity to work on an innovative project with real-world applications This is a consultancy/contract role, not full-time, and is specifically geared toward the successful delivery of a project concluding in March 2025. You must have a valid work authorization to work in the UK and be able to offer consultancy services.
