About the role
Background and details:
You will be field based in the Southwest, reporting to the MDiG Office as part of our on-site presence, carrying out installations of aftermarket MC and MG systems. It is essential you have excellent communication skills in order to provide customers with the best levels of service, through regular communication with both the customer and Head of Department. In addition, you will provide support and training to End User Customers and assist the sales team where required for technical backup on technology products.
Duties and responsibilities:
Carry out installations of aftermarket MC/ MG systems including:
Responding timely to request
Delivering accurate installation
Production of documentation post installation
Assist and carry out site localisations and base station setups where required.
To carry out and provide training support for installs of aftermarket MC/ MG systems on site and at point of sale.
To provide training to MKL personnel and end-users for Machine Control as required.
Update CRM system with support call details, install details and asset details.
To maintain close liaison with customers and other departments of MKL to ensure the promotion of MDiG.
Experience and Qualifications:
Experience of working with Heavy plant and machinery
Experience of delivering excellent customer service
Excellent experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
GSCE’s grades C or above
Ability to work independently and to deadlines
Good communication skills, self-motivated and well organised
Technical aptitude, problem solving and proactive
Install experience of aftermarket GPS machine systems - desirable
Experience of working with a CRM system – desirable
Knowledge of Trimble, Leica, and Topcon machine control workflows - desirable
An understanding of GNSS and GPS for earthworks and civil engineering - desirable
