Project Lead Developer

Our client, a leading Insurance SaaS business, is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Developer to guide and manage a team of 8 developers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of the company’s software products, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. The role will involve hands-on development alongside leading the team, working closely with stakeholders, and delivering high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead a development team of 10+ developers, ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability.Architect and implement scalable, secure solutions using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, React, and AWS technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand business requirements and deliver robust software solutions.Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.Ensure best practices in development processes such as code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.Mentor and support the development team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving the team’s skills and technical capabilities.Contribute to the ongoing innovation and evolution of the company's SaaS products, with a focus on the insurance technology sector.Key Skills and Experience:Proven experience as a Lead Developer or in a similar leadership role, managing teams of 10+ developers.Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, and React.Solid experience with AWS cloud services, including architecture and deployment.Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.Experience working within the SaaS industry, ideally with exposure to the insurance or fintech sectors.A passion for innovation, technology, and driving forward best practices in software development.
