Senior Risk Analyst - Gas/Power trading - Up to £90,000 plus a high bonus

Join a reputable commodities trading firm and play a pivotal role in risk management across trading within Gas/Power. You’re going to be working very closely with trading teams here, with lots of interaction with the business to analyse, model, and report market risk for all trading activities. Utilise SQL or Python to support commercial stakeholders. Power and Gas are the primary products traded here and you’ll be joining as a senior member of the team with a huge chance to progress in the future to a management position. A large number of the systems are automated and run in real-time. Most of the team are technically minded and automate various tasks using SQL and Python. You’ll be no different and you’ll be given a lot of autonomy to make the best decision for automating and optimising analytical risk reports. In terms of your experience, you’ll need to have an in-depth background in either Gas or Power as opposed to being a generalist across various commodities. You'll also need to be technical with either SQL or Python so you can develop the relevant reports. You’ll be joining a successful firm with a strong history of success in the commodities trading market. Starting salary will be up to £90,000 plus a range of benefits including private medical and dental, life insurance and more.
