Structural Engineer
Location: Central London
Salary: 35k - 45k dependent on experience
Emtech are working with a growing Structural Consultancy who are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. The office in London specialises in structural engineering for high end residential, new build developments, refurbs and some commercial / industrial work.
They are currently looking for someone with 2+ years experience in in building structures design who is keen to be part of the companies journey as they grow over the next few years. You will have the opportunity to work on your own projects with support as required from one of the Directors. This gives you the chance to take a project from start to finish, communicate with the client and effectively take on the responsibility for delivering the scheme.
There is full Chartership support in place as all three Directors are Chartered Structural Engineers with IStructE so you will have plenty of support available for your professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- 2+ years experience in structural design across a range of building projects
- Working under the supervision of a Director ability to produce schematic/concept designs and structural design calculations within defined project timescales
- Liaising with other construction professionals in the development of designs
- Undertaking structural designs using ROBOT or TEKLA
- Directing technicians in the production of AutoCAD and REVIT drawing information undertaking and quality reviews of drawn information prior to issue
- Responsible for the analysis and design of building structures, progressing to overall design of structures.
- Ability to produce drawings using Autocad software
- Visiting sites and attending site meetings
- Involvement in internal project design meetings.
- Attend external design meetings with clients and other design team members.
- Prepare correspondence and reports.
