We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with enhanced security clearance to join our clients team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and automating our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines while ensuring the security and compliance of our systems.
This role requires experience in secure environments and adherence to strict security protocols. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and maintain a high standard of security across all environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure Automation : Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions for infrastructure and application deployments.
Security & Compliance : Ensure all infrastructure and code follow stringent security standards and comply with government or industry regulations (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).
Cloud Operations : Manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or others) with a focus on high availability, security, and scalability.
Monitoring & Logging : Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability, detect issues, and ensure compliance with security policies.
Incident Management : Respond to security incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with the security team.
Collaboration : Work closely with developers, security teams, and stakeholders to streamline software releases, improve reliability, and enhance the security of the overall infrastructure.
Configuration Management : Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
Secure Networking : Manage VPNs, firewalls, and other network configurations to ensure secure access to sensitive systems and environments.
Automation and Scripting : Develop automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Jenkins, Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Disaster Recovery : Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
Compliance Audits : Assist in security and compliance audits, providing necessary reports and ensuring the infrastructure meets all required certifications.
Required Qualifications :
Enhanced Security Clearance : Active enhanced security clearance (eSC Clearance).
Experience : 3+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering roles, preferably in high-security environments.
Cloud Expertise : Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud security practices, and infrastructure management.
Automation Tools : Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Programming/Scripting : Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Go) and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell).
Networking : Deep understanding of secure networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
Security Frameworks : Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA, or FedRAMP.
Operating Systems : Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and security hardening.
Monitoring & Logging : Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
