Mechanical Fitters

My client is offering a contract opportunity for Mechanical Fitters (Marine) to join their team based at their Devonport site. You will work on a wide variety of mechanical systems and equipment from fluid pumps, diesel engines through to high pressure air system and hydraulic systems. Role: Mechanical Fitter Hourly Rate: £23.73 p/h via Umbrella. Location: Devonport IR35 Status: Inside Contract: 6-months Security clearance: Must be able to achieve full SC Responsibilities Install and align new equipment and carry out system and equipment functional tests and surveys to read engineering drawings, to interpret work instructions and be competent in the use of general workshop machinery specific to mechanical fitting Working to technical specifications Essential experience required Experience of working on the Removal, Installation and overhaul of Marine Mechanical Equipment with a particular focus on Propulsion Equipment, Auxiliary systems & Power Generation Equipment. Demonstratable experience of working within high performing engineering teams focused on delivering engineering projects. Desirable experience Experience of working within Marine Engineering environment Time served apprentice within the field of Marine Engineering / Naval engineering Environment Qualifications (at least one of the following) Indentured Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
